Job summary

Intuit, Inc. in Florida seeks Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) to provide Basic Life Support on BLS ambulances and respond to medical emergencies. You will assess patients, record vitals, and assist with transport under Florida statute guidelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure crew and patient safety and PHI privacy at all times.
• Follow medical protocols and coordinate with Medical Director.

Operating Hours are 4:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Saturday

Full-time and part-time positions available. Must be able to work at least 1 Saturday every month.

Definition

An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is qualified per Florida State Statute 401 and

holds a current Florida EMT Certification to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) care on a

BLS or ALS ambulance. The EMT may drive ALS/BLS units or serve as the senior technician

on a BLS unit.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Current Florida Class E Driver's License
• Good driving record
• Good physical health
• Free of mental illness
• Free of addiction to alcohol or drugs
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Current AHA BLS Health Care Provider certification
• Completion of IC​S‑100a, IS‑5a, IS‑700, and IS‑800 from DHS FEMA
• Current Florida EMT certification
• Documentation of state-required 16‑hour EVOC course or equivalent

Physical Performance Requirements

• Lift 150 lbs
• Sustain prolonged bending and stooping
• With a partner, carry a patient weighing 150–300 lbs up or down one flight of stairs on a transport device weighing an additional 75–100 lbs
• With a partner, load a 300‑lb patient into the ambulance on a stretcher from the foot end
• With a partner, raise and lower a standard stretcher loaded with a 300‑lb patient

Medical Duties
