Job summary

City Ambulance Service is hiring EMT-Basics for on-road duties across Texas. The role involves responding to emergencies and transports, assessing patients, and providing life support. You will communicate clearly with patients and team members while transporting patients to hospitals or other facilities.

Expect full-time schedules (rotating 24/48 or 48/96), with overtime opportunities and a earning potential reflected in shift-based earnings. Benefits include health coverage and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid State of Texas EMT-Basic license REQUIRED (or from a compact state).
• At least 2 years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV pump, ventilator, and cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency transport calls.
• Assess patient condition and determine treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid or advanced life support as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients and relay information to team.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance and transfer to facilities.
• Document care and observations promptly.

Education

EMT-Basic license (Texas or other compact state)

2+ years EMS experience

MICU level transport experience (IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring)

Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)

Schedule: Full-Time: 48 ON/ 96 OFF, Kelly or24 ON/48 OFF

Employees can make $68,640-$86,994/year by picking up extra shifts to work 72 hours/wk (depending license type & on experience)

No cap on overtime.

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation, we have multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, Temple, Killeen, San Angelo, Lubbock, Round Rock, Beaumont, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, Corpus Christi, etc. We are currently looking to expand our team of EMT-Basics here in Houston, Texas and Surroundings. We are seeking experienced, dedicated and motivated EMTs to join our team. We are looking for team members that can provide the advanced level of patient care that our patients and partners have come to expect from City Ambulance Service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
• Report their observations and treatment to physicians, or other healthcare facility staff.
• Document medical care given to patients in a prompt and effective manner.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance and station locations daily.

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.

Expected gross earnings working a Full-Time 24/48 or 48/96 rotating schedule:

• $50,280/year - $63,688/year (depending on license type & experience).
• 24 ON/48 OFF, Kelly or 48 ON/96 OFF rotating type of schedule.
• Employees can make $68,640-$86,944/year by working 72 hours/wk (depending on license type & experience).
• No cap on overtime.
