Job summary

City Ambulance Service is expanding in Houston, Texas and seeks experienced Paramedics for on-road shifts. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency transports, assess patient needs, and provide high-level life support while communicating with hospital staff.

We offer full-time schedules with no cap on overtime, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k) matching. Texas license required; EMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold State Paramedic license (Texas or compact state).
• 2+ years EMS experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess patient condition and determine treatment per protocol.
• Provide first aid and advanced life support.
• Transport patients safely and coordinate with hospital staff.
• Document care and maintain equipment and station areas.

Pay starting at $77,096/yr up to $93,856/yr (depending on experience) working a full-time rotating schedule*

Paramedics can make between $105,248-$128,128/year (depending on experience) by working 72 hours/week

*No Cap on Overtime*

Schedule Types Available: 48 ON/96 OFF or 24 ON/48 OFF or Kelly schedule. Schedules vary by location and are subject to change.

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation, we have multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, San Angelo, Lubbock, Temple, Killeen, Round Rock, Beaumont, Port Arthur, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, Corpus Christi, etc. We are currently looking to expand our team of Paramedics here in Houston, Texas and Surrounding areas. We are currently seeking experienced, dedicated and motivated Paramedics to join our team. We are looking for team members that can provide the advanced level of patient care that our patients and partners have come to expect from City Ambulance Service.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
• Report their observations and treatment to physicians, or other healthcare facility staff.
• Document medical care given to patients in a prompt and effective manner.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance and station locations daily.

Qualifications:

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
• State of Texas (or other compact state) Paramedic license REQUIRED.
• 2 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
