Qualifications

• Must be licensed at the paramedic level by Illinois Department of Public Health or higher with Paramedic/EMT experience.
• Lead Instructors must hold a Lead Instructor certificate by IDPH or NAEMSE certification.
• Knowledge of Brightspace LMS or similar system preferred.
• Prior online teaching experience (via Zoom) and/or online teaching certification is strongly preferred.
• Scholarship work, publications, and committee work are highly considered.
• Excellent oral and written communication and ability to engage diverse staff and students.
• Experience with a diverse, multilingual student population is desired and aligns with open access mission.

Responsabilités

• Provide instruction on EMS Preceptor and use effective teaching methods; adapt as needed.
• Process students’ records per Malcolm X College guidelines.
• Plan activities that observe, question and investigate; monitor performance for improvement.
• Be prepared to teach this course in-person.
• Maintain office hours for advising, mentoring and coaching; develop and revise courses and materials as necessary.
• Post syllabi and grades; proctor students in a hands-on lab setting.
