Job summary

You\'ll perform basic life support, equipment handling, and related clerical tasks in a hospital transport setting. The position includes rotating shifts and duties across transport units, with ongoing training and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• High School, equivalent or higher is required.
• NCOEMS Emergency Medical Technician Certification is required
• NC Drivers License is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate ambulances to transport sick, injured or convalescent patients to and from the hospital.
• Administer basic life support/first aid during transport and handle patient movement.
• Perform basic ambulance maintenance, inspections, restocking, and cleaning daily; vehicle detailing weekly.
• Handle clerical duties and other duties as assigned.
• Communicate medical information during transport and document transport details; account for transport charges.
• Maintain required driver training, certifications, continued education, and hospital requirements.
• Assist Transportation Staff with maintenance of ECU Health vehicles.
