Job summary

Superior Mobile Health is seeking an EMS Supply Specialist in San Antonio to manage inventory, stock medical bags, and ensure timely restocking for emergency medical services. You will monitor main and bulk supply rooms, perform counts, and coordinate orders to keep ambulances ready and compliant.

The role requires EMT experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site during 4 PM–12 AM shifts with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the main supply room by cataloging goods and restocking supply bins.
• Maintain inventory of the Bulk Supply room to verify overflow stock.
• Assist with restocking, securing, organizing, and removal of overstock items from ambulances.
• Restock medical bags with correct items and quantities, ensuring no expirations.
• Keep supply rooms and field bags free from expired items and log replacements.
• Prepare for expiring items and place timely orders to restock.
• Verify physical counts match the inventory system and adjust as needed.
• Place orders to restock as necessary.
• Ensure equipment and supply rooms are clean and hazard-free.
• Train employees to use portable barcode scanners for inventory checks.
• Assist with cabinet tagging and inventory of units.
• Support Logistics Manager with daily tasks as needed.
• Sign in/out narcotics safes & keys; log usage in narcotics spreadsheets.
• Be available to run spike calls with ODS if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The EMS Supply Specialist plays a crucial role in the organizations' ability to function efficiently and seamlessly daily by managing the distribution and inventory of supplies and equipment for emergency medical services. The EMS Supply Specialist is a great asset to all ambulance personnel and their ability to have the needed and required medical supplies and equipment so they can perform their duties without delay. This role is important by ensuring that all medical bags are stocked correctly and free from expired medications and supplies. The EMS Supply Specialist also ensures that the supply room has adequate supplies that are required for the organization to maintain and operate successfully and effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain the main supply room by cataloging goods and restocking supply bins when needed. This ensures that ambulance personnel always have the items they need at their disposal.
• Maintain inventory of the Bulk Supply room to verify that items are available in overflow. Having overflow stock is important if items that were ordered do not arrive in a timely manner, ensuring that we still have adequate counts.
• Board ambulances, as available, to assist with restocking, securing, organizing, and removal of overstock items. This allows for better organization, readiness, and ambulances that aren't carrying unnecessary overstocked supplies.
• Restocks medical bags to ensure appropriate items and correct quantities of items are present and not expired. This allows ambulance personnel to be confident that they have what they need and help improve response times.
• Keep all supply rooms, field bags, and units free from expired items. Discard any expired items properly and maintain the restock of the expired items.
• Prepare for any substantial items expiring that require an immediate and or timely order to restock. Being prepared for upcoming expiring items is important for ordering purposes if a delay in shipping / receiving needed items occurs.
• Verify that virtual and physical inventory matches. The inventory management program must match what is in stock. Sometimes these numbers do not match. Physical counts on supply item quantities need to be performed and adjusted in the inventory program so that correct items and quantities are ordered and accounted for.
• Place orders as needed for the items to be restocked.
• Ensure the equipment and supply rooms are clean and free of hazards.
• Train employees in how to properly remove supplies from inventory using the portable barcode scanners located within the supply room.
• Assist with cabinet tagging and inventory of units.
• Assist Logistics Manager with any other daily tasks that may need to be performed related to this position.
• Sign In / Out narcotic safes & keys. Replacing & correctly logging used narcotics and replacement meds into Teams Narcotic Usage spreadsheet.
• Be accessible to run spike calls with ODS if the need arises.
• Perform other duties as assigned. At times, other company-related duties or tasks may need to be performed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
