Job summary

Colorado Mountain College seeks a lead instructor for the EMT Basic Program at the Aspen and Carbondale campuses. The role includes teaching EMT-B, refresher courses, IV/IO therapy, and potential expansion to advanced EMS courses.

Qualifications

  • Credentialed to teach or eligible to be credentialed.
  • Associate’s Degree with 4,000 EMS hours in past five years or Bachelor's with 2,000 EMS hours.
  • Current Colorado Paramedic certificate or license; BLS Instructor preferred.
  • Experience with wilderness medicine or remote EMS care is a plus.
  • EMS Instructor Course completion (CDPHE or NASE Educators) or within provisional period.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Teach EMS courses; maintain course and program learning outcomes.
  • Coordinate EMT labs, tests, and clinical partnerships.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule EMT Skills staff and adjuncts.
  • Develop rapport with students and advise; participate in orientation and registration.
  • Engage in scholarly activities and service on campus committees.
