Job summary

Mountainland Technical College in Lehi, UT seeks an EMS Program Coordinator to lead EMS program operations, develop curricula, and mentor students. You will ensure licensure success, maintain compliance with accreditation standards, and supervise staff to uphold program quality.

The role requires 5+ years leadership/teaching experience in EMS, with Utah EMS Course Coordinator Certification and nationally certified EMT, plus AHA BLS/First Aid. Hours are Mon–Fri, some evenings.

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: A high school diploma is required; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of related industry experience with demonstrated leadership or teaching experience.
  • Licensure & Certification: Current EMS Course Coordinator Certification through the Utah Department of Health/BEMS; Nationally Certified as an Advanced EMT; current AHA BLS/First Aid.
  • Organizational & Accountability: Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and program quality.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and learning/information systems such as Canvas.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate program operations, ensuring student success in completion, licensure, and placement.
  • Develop and maintain lesson plans for both classroom instruction and practical lab activities.
  • Supervise and mentor students, ensuring a supportive and professional learning atmosphere.
  • Oversee instructional quality through teaching, classroom/lab support, and faculty coaching.
  • Supervise staff, including scheduling, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, curriculum standards, and institutional policies.
  • Manage department operations, equipment, safety, and supply purchasing.
  • Support curriculum updates, program planning, and advisory committee activities.
  • Facilitate department meetings, training, and continuous improvement efforts.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities of the EMS Program Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking professionals who are passionate about education and leadership. Successful candidates will have:
