The EMS Manager is responsible for providing daily operational leadership and oversight of ambulance services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This position supervises Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics, ensuring appropriate staffing, operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and adherence to departmental policies and standards. The manager coordinates orientation and training of new associates, monitors licensure and certification requirements in collaboration with Human Resources, and maintains continuous survey readiness for the ambulance service. This role provides field leadership during emergency responses, oversees non-emergent ambulance operations, supports performance management and employee development, and serves as the first level of supervisory accountability for operational and personnel matters. The Manager, Non-Emergency Transport works collaboratively with leadership to promote excellence in patient care, employee safety, and operational effectiveness.
