Qualifications

  • Current Nebraska EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic certification (Paramedic preferred).
  • 2+ years of EMS experience; leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of EMS protocols, emergency response, and rural healthcare needs.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification (ACLS/PALS preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead with professionalism, fairness, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily EMS operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality emergency response.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal EMS regulations.
  • Develop and implement department policies, protocols, and training programs.
  • Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and on-call rotations.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and community partners.
  • Manage EMS equipment, supplies, and vehicle readiness.

Garden County Health Services (GCHS) is a Rural Emergency Hospital offering EMS, nursing home, clinic, and critical access hospital services to the Oshkosh community and surrounding areas. We’re proud of our deep roots in rural healthcare, and we’re looking for a dedicated, forward‑thinking EMS Manager to lead our Emergency Medical Services department.

What You’ll Do as the GCHS EMS Manager

In this leadership role, you’ll combine clinical expertise, operational oversight, and strong communication skills to guide the EMS department. You will:

You May Be a Great Fit If You Have:
