Job summary

Talentify in Fairfield, NJ is seeking an Inventory Specialist for first shift (7am–3:30pm), contract-to-hire. You will maintain accurate control of materials in an EMS production environment, pick parts per BOM, manage stock movements in ERP, and support production readiness.

The role requires experience with inventory control, cycle counting, ERP/WMS systems, and a strong eye for detail. You must lift up to 40 lbs and uphold 5S standards while coordinating with planning, purchasing, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical, logistics, or supply chain training is preferred.
• EMS/electronics manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Experience with IPC standards and shipping/receiving processes.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and stage materials for production jobs per BOM and revisions.
• Perform inventory transfers, issues, returns, and adjustments in the ERP system.
• Conduct cycle counts; investigate discrepancies and support corrective actions.
• Monitor moisture-sensitive devices; track expirations and proper storage conditions.
• Maintain clean, organized inventory locations following 5S and safety standards.
• Identify shortages and notify planning/purchasing teams promptly.
• Support incoming/outgoing parts with labeling, documentation, and stocking.
• Move and store materials to support high-mix, low-volume EMS production.
