Job summary

Air Methods seeks exceptional pilots to join the LifeStar team in Springfield, GA. The role focuses on safe transport of medical crews and patients within FAR/AIM/GOM guidelines, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance in a 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 2000 total flight hours with minimum 1500 in category
• 1000 hours PIC in category; 500 hours rotor wing turbine
• 200 hours cross-country flight time, 50 hours at night
• 100 hours unaided night PIC (or 100 hours NVG)
• Weight not to exceed 250 pounds and <70 years old

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft safely
• Completes pre-flight checks including Daily Flight Log
• Maintains final authority over aircraft operations
• Familiar with aircraft/medical systems and back-up aircraft
• Conducts detailed flight planning on short notice
• Participates in meetings and community outreach
• Performs other duties as assigned
