Qualifikationen

• Completion of an approved EMT training program.

Aufgaben

• Respond to requests for non-emergency, scheduled medical transport, and emergencies as directed
• Assess nature and extent of illness or injury and determine appropriate emergency medical procedures
• Administer basic life support techniques using patient care protocols
• Perform extrication and rescue of victims
• Act as a team leader during emergency responses and coordinate First Responders
• Complete thorough documentation of all calls and patient contacts
• Safely operate emergency vehicle to transport patients
• Operate emergency medical equipment and communications equipment
• Inspect and maintain ambulance, supplies, and equipment
• Attend mandatory continuing education and safety training programs
• Follow hospital safety and exposure control plans
• Demonstrate professionalism and customer service toward patients, families, and staff
• Performs other duties as assigned and aligns with Hennepin Healthcare mission
