St. Vincent’s Medical Center is a 473-bed Magnet-recognized community teaching hospital serving the greater Bridgeport, CT community. Our Emergency Department has a Trauma Level II designation, and is a primary Stroke and STEMI center. The 66-bed department includes zones such as Observation, Fast-Track, and Behavioral Health Crisis Unit. Role Responsibilities

• Train and educate students in the CESI Paramedic Program, including ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS.
• Provide instruction within scope of medical knowledge.
• Lead debriefing discussions after simulation scenarios.
• Create a supportive, respectful, and dignified learning environment.
• Identify students struggling with material and provide feedback or support.
• Collect performance data through observations and assessments.
• Interact regularly with faculty, staff, students, and the public as a CESI representative.
• Enhance simulation-based education with technology and artifacts like moulage, props, and wardrobe.
• Set up and dismantle simulation equipment, including computers, simulators, and audiovisual systems.
• Troubleshoot simulation technologies and maintain equipment and inventory.
• Organize classroom space and support activities.
• Support community outreach programs and conduct facility tours.
• Train internal and external customers in patient management techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare preferred.
• At least 2 years of healthcare experience.
• Current unencumbered CT paramedic license.
• CT EMS-I certification preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
