Florence County is seeking an experienced EMS Crew Chief to oversee the timely medical care and transportation of ill and injured patients, ensuring effective operation of Emergency Medical Services.

The role includes responding to emergencies, assessing patients, extricating in various scenarios, and delivering both basic and advanced life support. Leadership of crew and compliance with safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Requires National/South Carolina paramedic certification plus 1–2 years EMS experience or equivalent.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
• Must pass pre-employment examinations as required.
• Must possess CPR and ACLS credentials at time of hire.

Responsabilités

• Responds to emergency calls, provides treatment, and transports patients.
• Assesses patient condition and determines appropriate action.
• Extricates victims from wreckage, homes, buildings, and confined spaces.
• Provides basic life support including CPR, splinting, oxygen, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
• Operates ambulance and life-saving equipment for safe transport.
• Provides advanced life support such as cardiac monitoring and medications.
