Florence County EMS is seeking a skilled Crew Chief to oversee urgent medical care and transportation for ill or injured patients. The role requires paramedic certification, CPR/ACLS credentials, and prior EMS experience, with duties spanning rescue, treatment, and transport in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities include leading crews, operating ambulances and equipment, and ensuring readiness of vehicles and communications with dispatch and medical facilities.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years old at time of hire.
• Requires high school diploma or GED with paramedic credentials.
• SC paramedic certification plus EMS experience preferred.
• Valid SC driver’s license with clean driving history.
• Must pass pre-employment examinations and hold CPR/ACLS credentials.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to emergency calls, treat patients, and transport to facilities.
• Assess patient condition and determine the proper course of action.
• Extricate victims from wreckage or confined spaces.
• Provide basic life support procedures (CPR, splints, oxygen, wound care).
• Operate ambulance and life-saving equipment for safe transport.
• Provide advanced life support (cardiac monitoring, defibrillation, IV therapy).
• Obtain medical history and document for facilities.
• Perform routine maintenance and test equipment.
• Ensure vehicles are stocked and response-ready.
• Maintain two-way radio communications with dispatch and hospitals.
• Supervise crew members assigned to the ambulance.
• Perform station housekeeping and interact professionally with public.
• Assist with new employee orientation/training.
