Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teach 18 credit hours per year, 9 hours each in fall and spring.
• Coordinate practicum scheduling and address student/site concerns.
• Ensure compliance with clinical requirements.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating courses.
• Collaborate with EMS programs for evaluations.
• Conduct site visits to clinical locations.

Skills

Nationally Registered Paramedic

Current Louisiana Licensed Paramedic

Ability to obtain EMS Instructor licensure in Louisiana within 6 months of hire

Experience coordinating clinical or field education programs

Two years of field experience as a paramedic providing direct patient care

Two years of teaching experience

Education

Associate's degree in a related field

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
