Team Mobile Health Care is seeking a Billing Specialist to ensure accurate claim preparation, coding review, and timely postings. You will act as a critical link between field operations and the billing department, reviewing patient care documentation, coordinating corrections with EMS crews, and ensuring claims are complete before submission.

A successful candidate has at least a high school diploma and experience with medical billing and payer guidelines, and you will help maintain a clean

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of medical billing experience preferred.
• Experience with ambulance or EMS billing strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT coding principles.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing.
• Proficiency using electronic billing software and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Review PCRs for completeness, accuracy, and billing readiness.
• Apply coding per Medicare, Medicaid, and payer guidelines.
• Submit clean claims with high first-pass acceptance.
• Investigate and resolve front-end claim edits and rejections.
• Work front-end insurance denials to prevent delays.
• Monitor payer updates and implement changes to billing rules.
• Return incomplete PCRs to field staff for correction.
• Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, and clinical staff for missing docs.
• Post insurance and patient payments and adjustments.
• Reconcile postings and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate billing activity docs.
• Assist with month-end reconciliation activities.
• Identify billing trends and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
