Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a Rotor Wing Pilot in Lockhart, Texas to transport medical crews and patients within a designated operational area, adhering to FAR, AIM and GOM guidelines. You will ensure airworthiness, perform pre-flights, and maintain comprehensive documentation to support mission readiness.

The role requires substantial flight experience (2500+ hours; 1000 PIC; 500 turbine hours) and instrument qualifications, with a competitive pay scale and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires FAA instrument rating and appropriate aircraft category qualifications.
• Total flight hours: 2500 with 2000 in category; 1000 PIC in category; 500 turbine hours; 100 night hours.

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Completes pre-flight checks and daily flight log sign-off.
• Maintains authority over operations and safety of passengers, cargo and equipment.
• Familiar with aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft and medical interior.
• Completes required documentation.
• Conducts detailed flight planning with short notice to exacting standards.
• Participates in meetings, projects and community outreach.
