Job summary

Athena Health Care Systems is seeking a Clinical Systems Program Manager to lead the deployment and ongoing optimization of our EMR platform across Home Health, Hospice, and Private Duty operations from our Farmington office.

You will drive plans, timelines, dependencies, and risk management while coordinating with clinical, finance, compliance, education, operations, and IT teams to ensure regulatory and operational requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience implementing, administering, supporting, or optimizing healthcare information systems.
• PM experience across multiple departments, locations, or stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of clinical and operational workflows.
• Experience coordinating system configuration, testing, training, deployment, adoption.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and workstreams.
• Ability to work with clinicians, leaders, executives, finance, vendors, and IT.
• Experience in Home Health, Hospice, Private Duty, or post-acute environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the EMR platform across Home Health, Hospice, and Private Duty operations.
• Develop and maintain implementation plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate activities between EMR vendor, agency leadership, clinical teams, finance, billing, compliance, education, operations, and IT.
• Facilitate implementation meetings, workgroups, design sessions, testing, and status reporting.
• Identify project risks and dependencies, escalation and follow-up as needed.
• Coordinate activities across agencies/locations to align processes while allowing differences.
• Assist leadership with deployment sequencing, go-live planning, readiness, and stabilization.
• Document current and future-state workflows within the new EMR.
• Coordinate configuration of documentation, visits, scheduling, billing workflows, security roles, and forms.
• Ensure configurations meet regulatory, compliance, clinical, and financial needs.
• Maintain documentation of significant configuration decisions.
• Evaluate enhancement requests and distinguish configuration from process/vendor needs.
• Coordinate testing and validation of system changes prior to deployment.
