Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. seeks a Health Information Management Analyst to perform deficiency analysis related to the EMR system and assign medical record deficiencies under the direction of the Manager of Health Information Management.

In this role you will liaise between HIM and clinicians to optimize EMR workflow, ensure accurate scanning, documentation compliance, and timely completion of deficiency queues in Epic.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Three years' experience in a medical record department.
• Experience with EMR and structured data.
• Knowledge of health information laws and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records within the work queues.
• Assign deficiencies to physicians in Epic.
• Ensure accuracy of scans and patient information.
• Maintain and process unassigned and declined queues daily.
• Collaborate with clinicians to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS requirements.
