Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Background in visual arts, performing arts, or technology, and willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with disabilities in daily activities and provide necessary physical support.
• Offer instruction in life skills, arts, or technology to develop new skills.
• Monitor rights, health and safety; ensure appropriate care and support.
• Advocate for rights and help students develop self-advocacy.
• Provide personal care support when needed and ensure needs are met.
• Create schedules, design activities, and conduct workshops or classroom instruction.
• Contribute to development of individual service plans to meet needs.
• Maintain open, professional communication with supervisors, students, care providers and stakeholders.
• Attend training and meetings to improve performance and stay current with best practices.
• Develop positive relationships with students, offering emotional support and guidance.
• Other duties as requested.
