Job summary

Applitrack’s Olathe Elementary School in Colorado is seeking a Licensed Special Education Teacher to join our caring team and serve students with significant support needs.

You will develop IEPs, implement specialized instruction, collaborate with staff, and partner with families to help students reach their learning goals under IDEA/FAPE guidelines.

Join a collaborative, data-driven environment focused on meaningful relationships and school-wide growth with 178 instructional days per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.A/B.S degree in teaching from an accredited institution in the appropriate special education area.
• Certification: licensure from the Colorado Department of Education authorizing service as a teacher of special needs pupils.
• Experience: successful completion of student teaching or two years of full-time classroom teaching with the special needs child.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements IEPs with present levels, goals, and services.
• Ensures IDEA/FAPE compliance and related services.
• Collaborates with teachers, parents, psychologists and staff to support students with disabilities.
• Maintains required documentation and progress reporting.
