Opengate in Carmel, NY seeks an Employment Specialist (Job Coach) to support individuals with disabilities through job development, coaching and case management in a full-time role serving Putnam, lower Dutchess and upper Westchester counties.

Responsibilities include resume assistance, employer outreach, on-site training and ongoing documentation. A valid driver's license and at least six months of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months related work experience and/or training in working with special populations.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsabilités

• Job Development: assist with resumes and cover letters, seek out employers, attend interviews, maintain ACCES-VR contact, maintain weekly contact with clients.
• Job Coaching: participate in employer training, provide continued training until skills mastered, travel to worksites, resolve conflicts, advocate for clients.
• Case Management: provide support/advice, make referrals, document daily activities, complete ACCES-VR reports and phase sheets, file notes.
• Additional Duties: travel training, attend staff meetings, participate in training, other duties as directed.
