Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field with at least 1 year of demonstrated paid or unpaid experience in working with individuals with disabilities
• Experience evaluating or advocating for individuals with disabilities in community or employment settings
• Experience with competitive integrated employment and related HR or supervision tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in exploring career options and counseling on vocational goals and services
• Provide services to promote self-sufficiency and reduce barriers
• Develop, assess, and monitor individualized service plans with clients
• Authorize and approve expenditure of funds for individualized services and goods
• Interpret evaluation results and medical terminology to support career choices
• Determine VR eligibility and severity per regulations
• Coordinate services with multiple providers and vendors
• Refer clients to other agencies and partners
• Educate referral sources about VR and the referral process
