Job summary

Confluence Academy is seeking Teacher Assistants to work with assigned teachers and provide additional academic support to students at Old North Academy in Saint Louis, MO. TAs may teach a regular class if certified and will help motivate students to develop skills in line with each pupil's ability.

Ideal candidates will have an associate's degree or higher, with a Missouri teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher required; BA/BS preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general educational materials.
• Ability to implement reading and math instruction as part of an established curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Support reading and math instruction using structured approaches.
• Collaborate with teachers to set learning goals for individual students.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom aligned with school values.
• Use technology tools for instruction, planning and communication.
• Assist in assessments and data collection for student progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student performance and needs.
