Qualifications

• Hold bachelor's degree and required Kentucky certification for assigned position.
• Proven ability to work effectively with students.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations at the times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and age-appropriate.
• Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Guides learning through curriculum goals and clear objectives.
• Employs varied instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
• Strives to implement the district's philosophy of education and goals.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports to parents as required.
• Protects students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintains records and confidentiality as required by law and policy.
• Assists administration in implementing policies governing student conduct.
• Makes provision to be available to students and parents outside instructional hours.
• Plans and supervises assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteers.
• Maintains professional competence and keeps current with literature and regulations.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on committees as required.
