Qualifications

• NJ certification required: K-6 Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities OR Teacher of the Handicapped
• Experience with students who have learning differences and emotional/behavioral challenges
• Self-contained classroom experience for Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction per Board approved curriculum
• Teach Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies in a self-contained classroom
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behavior
• Collaborate with staff and support services as needed
• Utilize technology tools (Google Suite, IEP software, Genesis) to support students
