Job summary
Applitrack seeks a Special Education - Campus Teacher/Support at Hightower Elementary in Plano ISD to provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The teacher will help students develop competencies to function in society.
Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements, and Special Education certification.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in education or related field.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the assigned grade/subject.
- Special Education certification for teaching students with disabilities.
- ESL certification may be required for specified elementary positions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lessons aligned with district curriculum and IEPs.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse student needs.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with special education staff and regular teachers.
- Integrate technology and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Communicate with parents and administrators regarding student growth.
