Elliott County Intermediate is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work full-time with students who have diverse learning needs and disabilities. The role focuses on individualized instruction, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families and professionals to improve academic and personal outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required.
• State teaching certification in Special Education required.
• Master's degree preferred for enhanced eligibility.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities in 1:1 and small groups.
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction and interventions.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to foster inclusion.
• Maintain records of student performance and progress toward IEP goals.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about progress and challenges.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate services.
• Support staff with best practices for students with special needs.
• Stay current on special education laws, regulations, and practices.
