Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets individual needs and abilities of students.
• Creates a conducive classroom environment for learning and student engagement.
• Prepares for classes and shows written evidence of preparation.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for lessons.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required.
• Diagnoses learning disabilities with district specialists as needed.
• Maintains accurate records as required by policy and regulations.
• Implements policies and rules for student life and conduct.
• Makes provisions for availability to students/parents outside instructional day when required.
• Plans and supervises assignments for aides and volunteers.
