Job summary

Parkrose School District is seeking a Special Education TeacherPool for the 2025-2026 school year in Oregon. The role focuses on behavior and academic support, implementing district-approved curriculum, and documenting progress toward student outcomes.

The position reports to the Director of Student Services and a principal. Open until filled, salary range shown, with employer-paid retirement and benefits. 40 hours per week, 192 days per year. Location to be determined.

Qualifications

• A valid Oregon teaching certificate with endorsement from TSPC required upon hiring. Maintain license and renew credits as needed.
• If CORE academic area, must be designated highly qualified by TSPC and the State of Oregon to teach CORE subject.
• Ability to prepare effectively for class
• Ability to develop and communicate appropriate grading standards to students
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships
• Document student progress
• Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, and instructional subjects
• Ability to use personal protective gear as necessary for physical protection
• Multicultural competency
• Preferred training: Bilingual
