INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT 917 in Minnesota is seeking an Education Support Professional (Float Sub) to support students with IEP goals in ASD, EBD, and DCD. 7.5-hour days, 7:30 a.m.

– 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; starting pay is $23.00 per hour under the Education Support Professional contract, across multiple district sites. Under supervision, ESPs work with students individually and in small groups to promote learning, safety, and positive behaviors, collaborating with teachers,

Qualifications

• Two years of college with 60 completed credits, an Associate's degree, or a passing score on the ParaPro assessment.
• Experience with children or individuals with special needs is preferred.
• Ability to obtain PCA certification from the Department of Human Services.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in providing instruction and managing student educational programming.
• Adapt instructional materials, equipment, or strategies to provide differentiated instruction.
• Implement data collection and monitoring to track student progress.
• Assist licensed staff with classroom management and behavioral interventions.
• Use proactive behavior management and de-escalation techniques; may require restraint when necessary.
• Assist students with daily routines and supervision in various school areas.
