Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Para Certificate or Post-Secondary Education preferred.
• Experience in a K-12 education system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing student's Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and equipment.
• Implement Behavior Implementation Plan (BIP) and support positive student behavior.
• Support personal care and hygiene needs as needed.
• Participate in training and adapt communication devices to student needs.
• Maintain student documentation and progress monitoring.
• Assist with bus transitions and bus-rider training as required.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and the school community.
