Job summary

AOS Staffing is seeking a dedicated Child Development Support – Special Education to aid students with special needs during the 2026-2027 school year in St. Louis, MO.

You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to foster a safe, understanding classroom where every student can learn and grow. Responsibilities include guiding students, supporting behavior plans, assisting with academic activities, and providing essential care with compassion.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Basic computer skills.
• Preferred: Experience in educational settings.
• Preferred: Tutoring or small-group instruction with young children.

Responsibilities

• Guide students daily, assist with transitions, activities, and mobility.
• Support behavioral plans and track progress to reinforce positive strategies.
• Assist with small-group reading activities and individualized instruction.
• Provide essential care including feeding, toileting, lifting, and mobility support.
• Keep classrooms organized and ready for daily activities.

Associate’s degree or higher

Missouri ParaPro or Paraprofessional Assessment_completed
