Job summary

Global Psychological is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students with disabilities in the school setting.

In this part-time role in Indianapolis, IN you will evaluate student needs, provide evidence-based interventions to improve participation and independence in daily and educational activities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs that meet individual student needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current state Occupational Therapy license and completion of clinical internship
• Experience with school-aged children preferred
• Knowledge of K-12 special education requirements

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to evaluate student occupational performance and create comprehensive reports
• Provide targeted, evidence-based therapy to facilitate learning, independence, and participation
• Adapt environments, use assistive technology, and train staff to support student needs
• Educate students, families, and school staff on strategies to improve skills, safety, and daily functioning
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop IEPs and intervention plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and coordinate services across the IEP team
• Maintain accurate records and document therapy services for accountability and reimbursement purposes
