Qualifications

• Experience educating patients on asthma and COPD management.
• Proficient in pulmonary function testing procedures.
• Knowledge of electronic health records.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assess, manage, educate and advocate COPD and asthma therapies per guidelines.
• Evaluate patient and determine appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide verbal and written asthma education.
• Perform Pulmonary Function Testing and review results with physicians.
• Instruct patients on use and care of respiratory devices.
• Develop asthma/COPD action plans and documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Set and discuss management goals with patient and family.
