Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Residential Counselor to join our Developmental Disabilities (DD) division in Bedford, TX.

This role supports a group home for adults with developmental and brain injuries, helping them develop daily living and social skills within a person-centered program. The ideal candidate has experience with brain injuries or developmental disabilities, holds a HS diploma, and can drive a residence van with a valid license.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Experience working with intellectually disabled or brain injured adults.
• Ability to drive residence van.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a personally owned vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of a group home serving individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries.
• Promote community integration by supporting access to resources, fostering relationships, and reducing stigma.
• Ensure a safe, supportive environment and implement crisis interventions when needed.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Support Plans and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
