Skills of Central PA is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to work in Lock Haven (covering Clinton & Centre Counties) with people receiving services through our Peer Support Services program. The schedule for this position, generally, will be 8a-4p or 9a-5p, M-F.

However, flexibility is needed, at times, for some evening and/or weekend hours to meet the needs of program participants. Peer Support Services (PSS) are specialized therapeutic interactions conducted by self-identified current or

Qualifications

• Board certification as CPS or eligibility and must be obtained after training.
• Self-identify as an individual with a mental health diagnosis and in recovery.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completed CPS certification training curriculum approved by the Office of Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Develop WRAP plans focusing on strategies for goals, crisis planning and relapse prevention.
• Assist individuals to develop and implement an IRP aligned with recovery goals.
• Facilitate peer support groups based on IRP goals.

Education

High school diploma or GED

CPS board certification
