Job summary

Skills of Central PA is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to work in Williamsport with clients in our Peer Support Services program. Typical hours are 8a-4p or 9a-5p, M-F, with occasional evening/weekend needs to serve participants.

The CPS will develop WRAPs and IRPs, facilitate peer groups, and promote recovery, self-determination and resilience. A competitive benefits package is offered for this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Specialist certification or board certification required upon completion of training.
• Experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges is preferred.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) with participants.
• Assist individuals to develop and implement an Individual Recovery Plan (IRP).
• Facilitate peer support groups based on IRP goals.
• Provide mentoring and service coordination supports to enhance recovery and community integration.
