Job summary

Sweetser is seeking an Intentional Peer Support Specialist at Ellsworth Hospital in Ellsworth, Maine. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a starting rate of $20 per hour, or $21 per hour with completed certification.

The role uses recovery-oriented approaches to build relationships and support individuals in their wellness journey. Responsibilities include applying Intentional Peer Support principles, collaborating with teams, and ensuring CIPSS training is completed

Qualifications

• Understanding Intentional Peer Support within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of personal Recovery.
• Ability to be emotionally present and communicate needs to manager.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and accept differences in perspective and values.
• Basic computer skills, including email and data entry in spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Applies tools of Intentional Peer Support to build connections.
• Collaborates, coaches, and challenges individuals toward growth and change.
• Follows CIPSS training requirements in Maine within the first year.
