Three Peaks Elementary, part of Iron County School District, is seeking MULTIPLE Part Time Foundational Skills Paraprofessionals to support students with significant needs at Three Peaks Elementary in Cedar City, UT. 27.5 hours per week.

The paraprofessional works under teachers, administrators, and behavior program staff to implement structured supports for communication, socialization, regulation, and daily living skills, promoting independence and engagement in classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Supports students with significant needs in communication, socialization, regulation, behavior, adaptive skills, and learning readiness.
• Implements instructional, behavioral, communication, and functional skill supports under the direction of the classroom teacher and other assigned supervisors.
• Collects accurate student performance and behavior data as directed by the teacher, behavior staff, or related service providers.
• Documents student responses, behavior incidents, skill acquisition, prompting levels, and other relevant data in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborates professionally with teachers, related service providers, administrators, behavior staff, and other paraprofessionals.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding student records, student needs, family information, behavior data, and other sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional, behavioral, communication, and functional skill supports under the direction of the classroom teacher and other assigned supervisors.
• Provides direct support to students with significant needs in communication, socialization, regulation, behavior, adaptive skills, and learning readiness.
• Assists with the implementation of individualized and small group instructional activities designed by the teacher or related service providers.
• Supports students in developing appropriate classroom behaviors, emotional regulation, functional communication, and learning-to-learn skills.
• Implements behavior intervention plans, safety plans, reinforcement systems, visual supports, communication systems, and structured routines as directed.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding student records and data as required.
