Job summary

National HealthCare Corporation in Athens, TN is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join NHC HomeCare Athens. The OT will supervise and participate in implementing therapeutic techniques for patients with physical disabilities and injuries, under physician orders.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program and eligible for state licensure.
• Must be registered in the state where practicing.
• Active OT association membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Occupational Therapy services.
• Provide OT services as ordered by the physician and delegate tasks to the licensed OT Assistant.
• Instruct staff in delegated functions including precautions and re-evaluation plan.
• Evaluate, plan and supervise treatments with short-term and long-term goals with physician approval.
• Maintain patient care records meeting third-party and regulatory requirements.
