Job summary
The Missouri Department of Mental Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Sikeston team. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support care plans for consumers, including those with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities include collaborating with doctors, patients, families, and supervising nursing assistants. A current Missouri LPN license and knowledge of the Nurse Licensure Compact are required, with shifts including Sundays through Thursdays.
Qualifications
- Possession of a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Missouri.
- Knowledge of current nursing theory, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to work a schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Take vital signs and assist with care plan activities.
- Observe and report patient conditions to doctors and families.
- Oversee nursing assistants and educate patients on care.
- Coordinate with physicians, patients, and families; train direct support staff.
