Job summary

Home Health Services of Virginia seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home care for individuals with developmental disabilities in Ashburn, VA. You will support daily living tasks, budgeting, and community activities to help clients achieve Individualized Service Plan goals.

Role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to document progress daily and in quarterly reports. Training in First Aid/CPR and Medicaid/ID Waiver knowledge is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Understanding medical terminology and ability to work with families, physicians, therapists, and pharmacists.
• Demonstrates organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to varying client needs.
• First Aid/CPR training provided and needed in daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support to individuals to achieve ISP goals.
• Assist individuals with budgeting and money management.
• Guide individuals with completing hygienic and household tasks.
• Engage individuals in social activities and community access.
• Support ADL/IADL completion and overall health and safety.
• Complete progress notes daily and quarterly reports.
