Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health Team covering Charlotte and Collier Counties, Florida. The role involves providing skilled therapy in patients' homes under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, with a focus on mobility, independence, and functional recovery.

You will implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with other clinicians.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Florida PTA license.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience in hospital, skilled nursing facility, or rehab.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation to visit patients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide skilled therapy services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement treatment plans including exercises, gait training, and device training.
• Patient Education: Instruct patients and families on techniques to improve function and independence.
• Collaboration: Work with Physical Therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and plans.
• Infection Control: Adhere to infection control guidelines to protect patients and staff.
