Job summary

College Station ISD is seeking an Early Head Start Parent Educator to deliver intensive home-based support to pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers. The role reports to the Early Head Start Operations Manager and operates from the Central Office under EHS funding.

The Educator will provide development, health, nutrition, and social services guidance, empower parents as advocates, and foster family involvement to prepare children for school readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate's or bachelor's degree (or willingness to obtain)
• Current certification for First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Provide one home visit per week for a caseload of 10-12 families lasting 1.5 hours each
• Transport families to events as needed
• Maintain and submit required program documentation and reports
• Coordinate with EHS staff to assess child development and family needs
• Engage families to promote school readiness and self-sufficiency
