Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
• Massachusetts ESL teaching certification/licensure for appropriate grade level required
• SEI Endorsement required within 1 year of start date
• Strong technology proficiency with blended learning and Google tools
• Experience in urban public schools preferred
• Second language proficiency (Spanish and/or Portuguese) a plus
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Teaches ELD classes aligned to WIDA Can-Do Descriptors and standards
• Plans accessible, scaffolded curricula with complex texts
• Collaborates with general education teachers; co-plans and co-teaches as needed
• Communicates regularly with families in culturally proficient manner
• Evaluates student progress and prepares progress reports
• Advocates for ML students and supports ML services district-wide
