Job summary

Hand In Hand Creative Learning Center in Essex Junction, Vermont, seeks a motivated Teacher Associate to join our caring team. You will help plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth, and collaborate with families and staff to create a safe, engaging classroom.

The role requires meeting Vermont State Regulations for Teacher Associate, strong communication, teamwork, and a focus on guiding children toward

Qualifications

• Meet Vermont State Regulations for Teacher Associate.
• Age 20 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work well in a team with staff, children and parents.
• Understanding of child development.
• Leadership, organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• CPR & First Aid Certification for Infant/Child.
• Mandated Reporter Training and Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement curriculum based on Developmentally Appropriate Practices and Vermont Early Learning Standards.
• Plan activities to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Maintain frequent communication with families through various channels.
• Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a healthy classroom environment in line with state regulations and ITERS/ECERS.
• Keep accurate observations, curriculum and assessments within designated time frames.
• Develop and follow a personal professional development plan for ongoing quality improvement.
