Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Part Time Personal Support Specialist to help adults with disabilities live meaningfully in the community. You will support daily living, promote personal growth, and encourage participation in preferred activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience supporting persons with disabilities.
• CNA certification or credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates experiences that promote individual's interests, choices, and personal growth.
• Assists individuals in planning daily/weekly schedules and activities.
• Informs the team of schedule changes and attends medical appointments when necessary.
• Teaches skills for increased independence and self-advocacy.
• Transports individuals to activities and follows doctor's orders under supervision.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
